B BBAAC

Performance Rating

  • Summary - Rating: BSuitable for biomass boiler heating systems where low toxicity is preferred. Average efficiency but higher cost compared with Biotherm VB4 fluid.

  • Efficiency - Rating: CAverage thermal conductivity and higher viscosity at sub-zero temperatures, results in reduced heat transfer efficiency and increased energy demands, compared with Biotherm DTX. Good Specific Heat capacity helps improve overall performance.

  • Antifreeze - Rating: BProvides protection down to -58°F but greater concentration (% volume) is required to achieve the same freeze-point protection, compared with Biotherm DTX and BE2.

  • Corrosion Control - Rating: ALong-Life high temperature rated formulation with synergistic corrosion inhibitors to exceed ASTM D1384 standards. Also contains broad-spectrum biological inhibitors and polyacrylates to prevent scale precipitation.

  • Toxicity - Rating: AClassified as Non-Toxic and Food-Safe. Suitable for systems where low-toxicity is stipulated. LD50 Oral Rat >20,000mg/kg body weight.
